María Solano is a Ph.D. in Education who fell in love with the Real Estate Business. She thinks her extensive educational background is a unique tool that combined with her knowledge of the unparalleled Real Estate market in Virginia and the Maryland Areas, provides her clients with a very well-informed housing market picture to make sound decisions. Maria will guide you through the complex and ever-changing process of buying and selling Real Estate. After serving for 22 years in the Venezuelan Navy as a Captain, and with more than 30 years of experience working and training people, Maria made her second career in Real Estate. Her numerous milestones include being a State-certified Real Estate Instructor, Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI).

Additionally, she is a Certified Military Residential Specialist (MilRES), Certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP), and Military Residential Specialist (CMRS) to serve veterans, active duty, reservists, and their families. She is an At Home with Diversity Certified Real Estate Agent (AHWD) and is a Certified Short Sales and Foreclosures Real Estate Specialist (SFR). She is a member of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), Virginia Association of Realtors® (VAR), and Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR), is also a member and served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and was an advisor for the Hispanic Forum in Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR). According to the Magazine Realty Biz News, she was number 14 out of the fifty more successful Hispanic REALTORS® in the USA in 2013. Also, she has been a Top Producer winner for 9 years. Maria Solano was one of the award winners for the years 2016, 2017 & 2018 of the Five Star Professional partnered with The Washington Post, which identified real estate professionals in the Washington DC area, who deliver outstanding service and client satisfaction. Maria was the Principal Broker for a boutique Real Estate firm in Virginia and is an Associate Broker in the states of Virginia and Maryland. She is familiar with working with diplomats, military, and veterans, as well as with first-time buyers and sellers. As a former Navy Captain and Army mother, she feels a special love for the military. She joined the great real estate company “Samson Properties” in 2013.
